She achieved a Bachelor of Science degree with an advanced major in biology before graduating from Dalhousie University School of Dentistry with an award from the American College of Dentists for outstanding performance and professionalism. She has been practicing since 1999.

She enjoys all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry and has focused on providing comprehensive and compassionate care. In her pursuit to provide the best standard of care for her patients, Heather continues to enhance her knowledge and skills by attending advanced programs and courses in dental education.

Heather is a member of the Nova Scotia Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association.
